Description

We are pleased to offer 2004 Euro model Ferrari Enzo the last of the pre-hybrid Ferrari Flagship Supercars, EPA & DOT legalized to US standards by J K Technologies LLC, and the only Enzo to sport Rosso F1 2007 paintwork. The limited-production Ferrari Flagship Supercar lineage began in 1984 with the twin turbocharged 288 GTO, (with 272 built) which further evolved in 1987 into the more radical F40, (with 1,311 built). The F50 followed in 1995 (with 349 built) powered by an all-new 4.7 liter V-12! The all-new Enzo, named after the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari, followed in 2002, (with 399 built) as the last of Ferrari’s pre-hybrid Flagship Supercars. Today these four limited-production Ferraris make up what is called the “SupercarSet” as the centerpiece of any major Ferrari collection. Praised by the automotive press as the epitome of what a modern supercar should represent, the Enzo was lighter, more powerful and faster than the F40 and F50, prompting Sergio Pininfarina to comment that the Enzo was a quantum leap in automotive design that danced on the fine line between art and engineering. Powered by a 6-liter tipo F140B engine and built with high-tech components such as Nikasil cylinder liners, titanium connecting rods and a telescoping intake manifold that provided a torque boost across the RPM range, the engine was the largest Ferrari had built since the 712 Can Am race car of the 1970s, mated to a lightning-quick six-speed paddle-shift transaxle. Performance was awesome, with the V-12 developing 651 hp and 485 lbs./ft. of torque, good for 3.3-second blasts to 60 mph from a dead stop and an incredible top speed of 218 mph. Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with 15″ rotors gave massive stopping power. Advanced technology including stability control, electronic brake force distribution, traction control and ABS, making the Enzo more user friendly than most supercars. Pininfarina designer Ken Okuyama sketched an F1 car with a carbon-fiber skin stretched over it to cover the wheels and cockpit. The chassis was centered on a lightweight, carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb tub weighing just 200 lbs. Aluminum subframes connected to the tub were fitted with body panels made of carbon fiber and Kevlar. The design was then massaged in the coachbuilder’s wind tunnel to ensure maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The styling was further emphasized with vertically rising scissor doors and 19″ alloy wheels. Gone was the massive rear wing that defined both the F40 and the F50, replaced by a small speed-activated spoiler at the rear and aided by improved aerodynamics throughout. The protruding nose was a styling cue taken from Ferrari’s contemporary Formula 1 race cars and sought to highlight the Enzo’s use of race-inspired aerodynamic technology. Inside, there were few creature comforts, aside from the requisite leather-trimmed carbon-fiber bucket seats and air-conditioning, in order to keep the car as lightweight and focused as possible. Any Enzo is a rare and desirable car, with standing out from the pack. While the majority of Enzos were painted in the traditional Rosso Corsa, or a few in Nero, Giallo Modena, Argento and Blu Pozzi, this Enzo is the only example to sport Rosso F1 2007 paintwork. Originally delivered new finished in Rosso Corsa over a black leather interior, was shipped to Carrozzeria Zanasi, just around the corner from the Ferrari factory in Maranello, and fully stripped and repainted in this brilliant shade. Carrozzeria Zanasi does all of the “Atelier” or custom color paintwork for out-of-range colors on new Ferraris, and as such, there could be no better place to have this Enzo repainted. Some other cosmetic modifications have been undertaken to enhance this Enzo’s s overall visual appeal. The original wheels were painted black with a matching red rim, the taillights were slightly tinted and racing harnesses in Rosso have been fitted to both the driver and passenger seat. Presenting in excellent condition throughout, the car has been driven just under 5,600 miles from new. Enzo was delivered new in July, 2004 to S.C.A.R. Spa, the authorized Ferrari dealer for Ragusa, Italy and was sold on 22 July, 2004 to Davide Floresta of Rome. In 2007 was added to the collection of Cheerang Arya of Dubai and was repainted from Rosso Corsa to Rosso F1 2007 by Carrozzeria Zanasi with 8,400 kms (5,219 miles) and was sold to an American client and imported into the US through New York on 26 May, 2019. Enzo was then treated to an EPA and DOT conversion to US standards by J K Technologies LLC, 3500 Sweet Air St, Baltimore, MD. Enzo was most recently at Cavallino and on Friday, 26 Jan., was driven on the Tour d’Eleganza starting at the Boca resort before driving to the cocktail reception at the Four Seasons and then on to the party under the stars on the lawn at the Breakers. On Saturday, 27 Jan., Enzo was on the lawn for display at the Breakers and on Sunday 29 Jan., was driven to Mar-a-Lago and on the lawn at Mar-a-Lago. Enzo has been well serviced with an extensive service including suspension bushings and a new clutch in Nov., 2021 by Ferrari of Palm Beach for $25,663.03 at 5,348 miles. In March of 2022 Enzo was treated to a Battery Tender and a new battery by Ferrari of Beverley Hills for $3,752.48 at 5,357 miles. Most recently Enzo was treated to a detailed inspection, a flush of the brake system, an overhaul of the electronics of the front lift system and the rear spoiler controls and a repair of the “sticky switchs” for $17,717.23 at 5,435 miles. Enzo s/n 138355 comes with all of its original books, in their leather pouch, with the original tools and fuses, in their leather case, the battery tender and wheel socket with it’s leather bag and so Enzo is ready to go and needs nothing.
